How to Overcome your Fears of Change

It’s natural to fear change, especially when you are looking to change your payment systems that can process millions of pounds of your or your organisations money.

The fear of change and failure is the single greatest obstacle to success in adult life. Taken to its extreme, we become totally preoccupied with not making a mistake and seek comfort in remaining where we are even if it is to our detriment.

It’s very natural to wonder if the grass is, in fact greener on the other side. When we make this change, we feel it. From the front of the body, the rapid beating of the heart, rapid breathing, and a tight throat.

You are not alone; many business owners experience both these fears of failure and change.
Don’t stay quiet, if you are looking to make a significant change either in business or personal life, ask yourself:

What is the worst that could happen if I do this?

What guarantees do you have that this will work?

Who will be there for me if I have any questions?

What is the full process if I did go ahead?

Worry is merely a sustained form of fear caused by indecision: an overestimate of the task ahead. The only real antidote to worry is purposeful action.

Taking action increases your confidence, courage, and sense of control.

We were inspired to write this article from a recent Feefo review we received from a client who discussed their worries of changing from their provider they had been with for many years:

“We have been using Nexpay for a few months now and it has been a positive experience. Straightforward regarding paperwork to transfer to, savings have been made and have been kept up to date regarding future developments. It's so easy to stick with what you know, but we're pleased we made the change”.
